SGIS Sponsors Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI) Cloud Computing Security Conference
“Traditional security measurements cannot be applied to the dynamic nature of cloud computing,” said SGIS Director of Cyber Security Solutions Mark Fedak. “We must deploy automated tools and enhanced techniques to effectively address security in the cloud. This AFEI conference brings together elements of government and industry to discuss these issues.”
SGIS announced that it will be a corporate promotional sponsor for the upcoming Security in the Clouds conference hosted by the Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI).
Mark Fedak, Senior Director of Cyber Security Solutions for SGIS, is the chairperson for the event. The Security in the Clouds conference will examine the intersection of Cloud Computing and Cyber Security with emphasis on Data Fusion and Visualization for Dynamic Cyber Defense. The conference will take place on April 14, 2010 at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Security in the Clouds conference will feature several keynote presentations from distinguished leaders in the field including Steve Shirley, Executive Director, Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center; and Thomas Fuhrman, Senior Vice President, Booz Allen Hamilton. Attendance is open to both AFEI members and non-members. People interested in attending this event must register on the AFEI website prior to the conference. Registration pricing ranges from $195 to $320 depending on membership status and date of registration.
