SGIS Appoints Catherine Chang as Senior Contracts Administrator

SGIS, a national government contracting firm, has appointed Catherine Chang as Senior Contracts Administrator, effective immediately. Chang manages SGIS contracts and is responsible for reviewing, negotiating and authoring contracts and contract policies and procedures. She also advises SGIS employees on any contract issues, requirements, risk reviews and assessments and serves as the main point-of-contact for several SGIS contracts. Chang is based out of the Washington, D.C. metro area office.

Prior to joining SGIS, Chang served as a Contract and Proposal Manager for a national provider of mass notification solutions. In this role, she provided full life cycle contract administration for federal, state and local government contractors. She was also a Contracts Manager for an international wireless communication service provider, a role in which she managed all aspects of commercial contract negotiations for the company’s corporate center, marketing, human resources, sales and network engineering operations. Chang has previously served as an Associate Attorney, Attorney-at-law and a Contracts Administration Law Clerk. Her outstanding work performance has been recognized on numerous occasions. Chang is the two-time recipient of an Award for Excellence for successful negotiations of enterprise impacting engagements resulting in a savings of millions of dollars during the life of an agreement.
Chang holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in political science from the University of Maryland, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She also holds a Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from American University Washington College of Law. Chang is a member of the Maryland Bar Association and is licensed to practice law for the Maryland Court of Appeals. She is also a member of the District of Maryland United States Bankruptcy Court.
